Guitarist Kenny Acosta was the winner of the VBK New Orleans Blues Society's Solo/Duo Competition, held last Friday, Aug 19th at Chickie Wah Wah on Canal St.

Competition was stiff.  Competing for the 2nd year was last year's winner, Big Daddy O with Keenan.  Also in the running were Will Wesley, Bayou Blue, Wes Lee and Michael Pearce.

The VBK would like to thank the judges that volunteered to rank the acts:  Wardell Williams, Ruben Williams, Bo Walker and Leslie Blackshear Smith.
